This past weekend was everything I love rolled into two days—good food, family, and a little football excitement!
It all started in my kitchen, which quickly turned into a mini culinary marathon. I kicked things off with tacos (because when someone requests tacos, you deliver!). Then came a cozy bowl of lasagna soup, followed by a hearty biscuit and gravy casserole that could make anyone feel at home. And just when I thought I was done, I added meatball tortellini soup to the lineup—stay tuned because I’ll be sharing that recipe and pictures soon!
Cooking is my happy place, but even chefs need a break. So, my hubby treated me to breakfast at Rollies Tavern, and let me tell you—it was comfort food heaven. I ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich stacked with a crispy hashbrown patty, and because I can never resist, I added a side of sausage gravy. Every bite was pure bliss!
Later that day, we met up with friends at Krickets for a drink. It was great catching up, and while we were there, I spotted the BIGGEST breakfast burrito I’ve ever seen. Seriously, it was a masterpiece—one of those “how do you even start eating that?” moments.
Sunday was all about family and football. We headed over to watch the Seahawks game with my brother and sister-in-law, and the energy was amazing. There’s something special about cheering on your team surrounded by family, snacks, and laughter. And the best part? The Seahawks pulled off another win! 🏈
Weekends like this remind me why I love slowing down and savoring the little things—whether it’s cooking up comfort food, enjoying a meal out, or sharing a game with loved ones. Now it’s back to reality and back to work, but my heart (and stomach!) are full.
