There’s a dish I keep daydreaming about. It’s not fancy. It’s not trendy. But it’s everything I want right now: warm, cheesy, crispy, saucy. Chicken Parmesan.
I haven’t made it yet. But I want to. Badly.
The Craving
It started with a scroll. Someone posted a photo of Chicken Parm so golden and gooey I could practically hear the crunch through my screen. Then came the spiral: recipe videos, breadcrumb debates, mozzarella melting tutorials. I was hooked.
There’s something about Chicken Parm that feels like a hug in casserole form. It’s the kind of dish that says, “You’re home now. Sit down. Eat.”
The Plan
- Chicken breasts, pounded thin like my patience after a long week
- Panko breadcrumbs, because I want that extra crunch
- Marinara, homemade ifI’m feeling ambitious, jarred if I’m honest
- Mozzarella and Parmesan, because obviously
- Fresh basil, for flair and fantasy
❤️ The Why
I think I want to make Chicken Parm because I want to feel capable. I want to feed my people something that makes them pause mid-bite and say, “Wow.” I want to prove to myself that I can take a classic and make it mine.
Also, I just really love cheese.
Stay tuned for the recipe and the results
